Rock-Tech relocates to 30,000-square foot manufacturing facility

Mining equipment manufacturer Rock-Tech is relocating to a 30,000-square-foot facility in Sudbury’s Walden Industrial Park.

Mining equipment manufacturer Rock-Tech is relocating to a 30,000-square-foot facility in Sudbury’s Walden Industrial Park.

Rock-Tech manufactures utility vehicles, stationary rock-breaking systems and products for fuel, oil and grease handling and storage. The company does business in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Australia and Peru,

“Relocating to our new 30,000-square foot facility presents a tremendous opportunity to improve our operations so we can expand into new markets and further position Rock-Tech as an industry leader for equipment engineered for underground mining,” said company president Ricky Lemieux.

FedNor provided the company with $15,000 to complete an operational assessment to improve manufacturing processes and increase production at its new facility.

The funding is provided through FedNor’s Targeted Manufacturing Initiative for Northern Ontario (TMINO, a program designed to help companies improve productivity and modernize their operations.
