Fednor, the Canadian government’s economic development agency for Northern Ontario, has provided $301,500 to the Materials Joining Innovation Centre (MaJIC) in Kirkland Lake.
The investment will expand MaJIC’s current range of services to industry, particularly in carrying out applied research and development activities. The funding will enable the innovation centre to purchase and install state-of-the-art equipment, manage and promote new programs and services, and achieve the accreditation needed to provide service to the aerospace, defence, automotive and nuclear industries.
