Greenstone Gold Mines, jointly owned by Centerra Gold Inc. and Premier Gold Mines Limited has submitted the Hardrock Project Environmental Impact Statement / Environmental Assessment (EIS/EA) to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change to initiate a formal environmental review process.
The Hardrock Project is located approximately 275 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, near Geraldton.
Greenstone Gold worked closely with local Aboriginal communities, the Municipality of Greenstone and local stakeholders in preparing the EIS/EA.
The company has undertaken to consult with supporting First Nation communities as it works through the EIS/EA approval process.
