Gord Slade, a former president of Falconbridge’s Canadian Nickel Division and general manager of its Sudbury operations, passed away at the age of 89.
A graduate of McGill University, Slade retired from Falconbridge after 32 years of service in 1984.
After retirement, he worked as a mining consultant and continued to participate on the boards of several mining corporations.
