Dr. Francois Caron has joined MIRARCO as the director of the Energy Center and as Bruce Power Chair in Sustainable Energy Systems. Caron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi, a Master’s in Freshwater Science and a Ph.D. in Geochemistry from McMaster University.
Caron was employed as a scientist at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited from 1991-2000, working in waste management systems, environmental research, reactor emission reduction and reactor chemistry. He joined Laurentian University in 2000 in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
