Laurentian University’s Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH) has been awarded $310,000 in new funding from the Ontario government.

The funding will support three projects aimed at addressing mobile equipment hazards, advancing Indigenous occupational health and safety in Northern Ontario, and improving safety for people who work around heavy equipment.

More than half of the funds will be used to develop knowledge transfer kits for safety trainers aimed at addressing line of sight and situational awareness hazards, exposure to vibration, and fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders associated with equipment operation.
