The Bucket Shop (TBS), a Timmins industrial fabrication shop, announced it has been awarded a multi-year agreement for Kirkland Lake Gold's bucket and lip supply, rebuild and repair program.

“We are very pleased and proud to be given the trust of such a quality mining organization such as KL Gold," said company vice-president Paul Woodward in a Jan.8 statement.

"This is a significant milestone that I believe is a testament to our investment and focus on innovation toward driving out cost and helping our clients achieve equipment availability and dependability."

In the release, the company said it has entered into an "alliance agreement" with Wahgoshig First Nation involving "economic and employment thresholds related to the work to be performed for Kirkland Lake Gold."

“The Kirkland Lake Gold Macassa Mine is a flagship underground operation for us," said Kirkland Lake Gold president-CEO Anthony Makuch.

"A key mandate for the site is to provide a safe and productive workplace, and a main component of this is achieved by improved effectiveness through less equipment downtime, and less modifications to the daily work flow. With this contract award, we are confident that TBS will positively support that mandate.”
