Innovation Initiatives Ontario North’s Innovation Manufacturing and Facilitation Program is offering up to $5,000 in assistance toward the use of services at North Bay’s Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production (iCAMP) and Kirkland Lake’s Materials Joining Innovation Centre (MaJIC).

The funds can be used to cover the cost of experts and facility usage.

The services and expertise available through the two organizations include rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, 3D printing, materials and product testing, machining, welding certification, welding training, process design and product simulations.

Applicants must be small or medium sized, incorporated, for-profit businesses with fewer than 500 employees and must make a cash contribution of a minimum of 10 per cent of the requested funding.

Funding assistance is from the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program.
