Northern delegates kick off Toronto mining tradeshow

More than 100 Northern Ontario mining supply and service companies in attendance for annual PDAC convention

Mining supply and service companies from Northern Ontario are in Toronto this week to attend the 2023 convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).

Considered the world’s premier mining tradeshow, the event attracts upwards of 30,000 people from 130 countries across the globe for four days of presentations, networking and business activities.

This year’s event is being held March 5-8 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The Northern Ontario Mining Showcase, which is co-sponsored by FedNor and the City of Temiskaming Shores, is the largest exhibit at the event. This year, 112 companies from Northern Ontario are taking part. A full list is available for viewing here.

Over the years it’s proven to be an invaluable marketing and networking event for Northern Ontario companies, with many making deals with new clients on the exhibit floor.

Since the showcase was launched several years ago, it’s estimated that $80 million in revenues has been generated and more than 700 jobs have been created, resulting from business conducted at the show.
