Trade show set for Sudbury September 10 – 11

The inaugural North America Mining Expo takes place in Sudbury September 10-11 at the Centennial Community Arena in Hanmer.

The inaugural North America Mining Expo takes place in Sudbury September 10-11 at the Centennial Community Arena in Hanmer.

Organized by Timmins-based Canadian Trade-Ex, the show will feature more than 300 displays and booths as well as jack-leg drilling and welding competitions, career and education sessions and an Aboriginal pavilion where First Nation representatives will explain the need for partnerships in the resource sector.

Also planned are a Chamber of Commerce gala dinner September 9th featuring guest speakers Pierre Gratton, president and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada,

Hans Mathew, president, Canadian Aboriginal Mining Association and Paul Semple, chief operating officer, Noront Resources.

There will also be a golf invitational and a public lecture sponsored by the Goodman School of Mining and Laurentian University.

Canadian Trade-Ex is the same company that organizes the Canadian Mining Expo, an annual mining show in Timmins held May 28 and 29 this year.
