SAMSSA has a new communications officer

Northern Ontario’s mining supply and services association, SAMSSA, has hired Kiran Krishnan as its new Social Media & Communications Specialist.

In a news release, SAMSSA revealed that Krishman is a graduate of the International Business Program at Cambrian College and recently completed a placement with the Economic Development division of the City of Greater Sudbury.

In his new role Krishnan will be overseeing the association’s social media platforms and online presence in an effort to enhance SAMSSA’s customer engagement, said the release.

“SAMSSA’s new Growth Strategy has a clear mandate to deliver initiatives that help our member companies grow” said Alicia Woods, President of SAMSSA.

“We are focused on building an Association that creates value for its members and having dedicated staff to support those goals is key. We are pleased to have FedNor and the City of Greater Sudbury as partners in this initiative and I look forward to having Kiran as part of our team,” she added.

This new position is designed to increase member engagement both in-person and online. Over the short term, Kiran will be reaching out to all members directly to further explain some of the new initiatives SAMSSA will be offering. In the interim, please feel free to contact Kiran directly at 705-674-4455 ext. 4310 or [email protected]  should you have any stories and/or ideas that you would like to share.
