Laurentian University’s Goodman School of Mines will welcome delegates to Sudbury June 20 to 25 for the Mining and the Environment International Conference, the fifth edition of the event. The first event was held 20 years ago.

The conference will bring together technical experts in the environmental and environmental-health sciences, policymakers, and regulators from around the world to address mine, land, and waterways rehabilitation and related environmental protection issues.

The conference will feature a series of lectures, a trade show, field trips, and a student competition. Over the five editions of the conference, more than 2,000 delegates have attended.
