Boart Longyear opens Sudbury parts depot

Boart Longyear has opened a 6,500-square foot warehouse in Sudbury to improve service to the local mining industry.

The facility will stock a wide assortment of parts and products for percussive and core drilling, including bits, rods and capital equipment parts, said sales representative Jason Desrochers.

In the absence of a Sudbury warehouse, Boart Longyear shipped products to Sudbury area mines from its Canadian head office in North Bay – usually guarantying next morning delivery. With product now stocked in Sudbury, it is able to offer even faster service.

“Our customers in Sudbury are very important to us and anything we can do to make our working relationships better is always our primary focus,” said Jodi Monaco, director of corporate communications.
